Thermal conductivity carbon dioxide sensor (CO2 sensor)
The MD62 gas-sensitive element is manufactured based on the principle that the total thermal conductivity of a mixed gas changes with the content of the gas to be analyzed. It consists of a detection element and a compensation element paired to form two arms of a Wheatstone bridge. When encountering combustible gases, the resistance of the detection element decreases; when encountering non-combustible gases, the resistance of the detection element increases (in an air background). The bridge circuit outputs a voltage variable, which increases proportionally with the increase in gas concentration. The compensation element serves the functions of reference and temperature compensation.
