Japan Figaro Freon sensor semiconductor gas sensor
The Freon sensor TGS3830 is a semiconductor gas sensor developed by Figaro using a newly researched metal oxide, mainly used for detecting Freon. The sensing element of this sensor is a tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor with low conductivity, whose conductivity increases as the concentration of the target gas in the air rises. A simple circuit can convert the change in conductivity into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The gas-sensing bead is extremely small, and the heater power consumption is only 120mW.
