Formaldehyde sensor (CH2O sensor)
The ME2-CH2O-Ф16 formaldehyde sensor is a primary battery type electrochemical sensor. CH2O and O2 undergo corresponding oxidation-reduction reactions at the working electrode and the counter electrode, releasing charge to form a current. The magnitude of the generated current is proportional to the concentration of CH2O and follows Faraday's law. By measuring the magnitude of the current, the level of CH2O concentration can be determined.
