Freon (R134a) alarm
Freon Gas Alarm (Refrigerant Leak Detector) Freon (refrigerants R22/R134a/R410A/R404A, etc.) alarm is used to detect refrigerant leakage in refrigeration systems; most Freon gases are heavier than air, and after leakage they sink and accumulate. High concentrations can cause suffocation, cardiac stimulation, and decompose into toxic fumes at high temperatures. Most are non-flammable themselves, but excessive concentrations in confined spaces can displace oxygen and cause asphyxiation. They are divided into two categories: fixed industrial alarm systems and portable leak detectors.
