Product Introduction
1. Description of German AMT CO2 Sensor Water Quality Sensor:
In the aquaculture industry, the content of dissolved CO2 in water (excluding HCO3- and CO3(2-)) is often one of the important indicators for evaluating water quality. Currently, the widely used m-value detection method has certain drawbacks: on one hand, the m-value method is manual analysis and very time-consuming; on the other hand, many compounds in water that affect pH value can interfere with CO2 measurement (such as phosphates, silicates, bicarbonates, carbonates, etc.); in addition, the m-value detection method requires sampling, which also causes errors. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a direct-reading sensor to detect dissolved CO2 in water and thereby control water quality conditions. After years of meticulous research and development, ATM company, in cooperation with renowned research institutes such as the Mecklenburg/Vorpommern Agricultural and Fisheries Research Center and the Institute of Fisheries (Germany), has developed this membrane-covered optical sensor for detecting dissolved CO2 in water. It uses NDIR near-infrared optical principles to accurately detect CO2 concentration.
The CO2 sensor contains a gas-permeable silicone membrane inside, through which liquids and solids cannot pass. When the sensor comes into contact with the sample, CO2 gas is drawn into a measurement chamber, with a light source at one end and a filter and detector at the other, achieving CO2 partial pressure equilibrium between the sensor contents and the sample. The sensor has a built-in optical probe, whose working principle is based on single-beam dual-wavelength near-infrared light to measure CO2 partial pressure (PCO2), combined with water temperature and air pressure measurements to calculate CO2 concentration.
Suitable for both water and air
Detects only dissolved CO2 gas
Unaffected by silicates, phosphates, HCO3-, and CO3(2-)
Ultra-high stability with built-in reference measurement
