Product Introduction
1. Description of Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor HTD2230:
The digital temperature and humidity sensor HTD2230 provides OEM customers with precise and reliable digital measurement of temperature and humidity.
The digital temperature and humidity sensor HTD2230 features an I2C digital interface. According to the I2C command protocol, it directly outputs temperature-compensated humidity, temperature, dew point, and CRC check information. Users do not need to perform secondary calculations on the digital output or temperature compensation on humidity to obtain accurate temperature and humidity information. The free development kit can be embedded into user code, making it easy for users to master and use the sensor.
The special design of the sensor ensures obvious advantages over similar products in humidity measurement under harsh environments such as high humidity, dust, and dirt.
In environments such as fog, mist, rain, and condensation, where humidity is close to saturation, the probe becomes insensitive to the surrounding environment after being wetted. Therefore, reliable humidity measurement in near-saturation environments becomes very difficult. To address such environments, dew removal heating and dehumidification are required, for which the sensor's heating function is specially designed. In normal humidity measurement environments, the default temperature and humidity detection speed is once per second, with each measurement lasting about 125ms, and the sensor is in a very low power standby mode the rest of the time. In environments such as fog, mist, rain, and condensation, selecting a faster refresh rate such as full speed (eight times per second) makes the sensor's microprocessor run at full speed, increasing current consumption to 4-5mA, which is equivalent to continuously heating the sensor's surroundings, thereby reducing the humidity around the sensor and thus reducing the risk of condensation on the sensor probe.
For most humidity sensors, they are required to be used in clean environments or equipped with special dust covers, which increases the size and cost of the sensor. The digital temperature and humidity sensor HTD2230 uses special software and hardware design in its circuit to reduce the impact of dust and dirt to one-tenth of similar products. Additionally, the sensor itself comes with a dust-proof film, greatly minimizing the impact of dust and dirt on accurate humidity measurement.
The HTD2230's digital calibration information is stored in a Flash chip. For bulk users, the sensor's calibration and adjustment functions are open, allowing users to perform batch and rapid secondary calibration or adjustment using special commands.
