Product introduction
I. MiniatureSHT21 temperature and humidity sensorProduct description:
The SHT21, a new generation Sensirion humidity and temperature sensor, sets new standards in size and intelligence: it is embedded in a reflow-solderable dual flat no-lead DFN package, with a bottom of 3 x 3mm and a height of 1.1mm. The sensor outputs calibrated digital signals in standard I2C format.
The SHT21 features a newly designed CMOSens® chip, an improved capacitive humidity sensing element, and a standard bandgap temperature sensing element. Its performance has been enhanced to even exceed the reliability level of previous generation sensors (SHT1x and SHT7x). For example, the new generation humidity sensor has been improved to be more stable in high humidity environments.
Due to the improvements and miniaturization of the sensor, it offers higher cost-effectiveness - and ultimately all devices will benefit from advanced energy-saving operating modes. A new test kit EK-H4 can be used to test the SHT21.
Each sensor is calibrated and tested. The product batch number is printed on the product surface, and an electronic identification code is stored in the chip - these codes can be read by entering commands. In addition, the resolution of the SHT21 can be changed via commands (8/12bit up to 12/14bit RH/T), the sensor can detect low battery status, and output a checksum to improve communication reliability.
