Product Introduction

German AMT Shallow Water Dissolved Hydrogen Microsensor Description:

The amperometric microsensor for shallow water has been developed for rapid background depth analysis of dissolved hydrogen in natural waters and oceans using probe systems. Due to the partial pressure of gaseous H2, the analyte permeates through the membrane. Inside the sensor, hydrogen reacts electrochemically at the working electrode. This results in a current corresponding to the partial pressure of dissolved hydrogen. The sensor has a very short response time. With t90% and flow rate of 2 seconds, as is well known from all other membrane-covered electrochemical sensors, analysis with high local resolution is possible. Turbid and colored solutions do not interfere with the signal. To measure hydrogen concentration, the sensor needs to be combined with temperature measurement. The hydrogen microsensor can be used for field measurements up to a depth of 100 meters and in laboratory versions. All sensors are equipped with sensor slope, temperature compensation data, and mathematical formulas for calculating hydrogen concentration. The exchange of the sensor head is simple and can be done by the customer themselves. Alternative exchange heads for dissolved oxygen can extend the flexibility of the sensor.
