Industrial Online Turbidity Meter ZS-600 Measurement Principle
Turbidity indicates the degree to which suspended solids in water obstruct light transmission. The presence of mud, dust, fine organic matter, and other microorganisms and colloids in water can cause turbidity. The light waves emitted by the sensor's transmitter are absorbed, reflected, and scattered by the measured substance during transmission. Some transmitted light reaches the detector at 180°, and some scattered light reaches the detector at 90°. The intensity of light received by the detectors at 180° and 90° has a certain relationship with the turbidity of the measured wastewater. Therefore, by measuring
the intensity of transmitted and scattered light, the turbidity of the wastewater can be calculated.
