LM-3086 SE Smoke Opacity Meter Measurement Principle:
This instrument uses an open-path single-pass dual-path principle. The transmitter unit emits a laser beam that crosses the flue and reaches the receiver unit after passing through the flue once. The receiver unit measures the change in laser signal intensity caused by dust as it passes through the flue, thereby calculating the dust concentration. Additionally, the transmitter unit sends two reference light signals to the receiver unit at a frequency of 40 times per second through an optical cable installed outside the flue, providing continuous measurement of zero and full scale. Older measurement methods used dual-pass, which could not provide zero and full-scale calibration. This new system improvement greatly enhances measurement accuracy, long-term performance, and reliability. The MIP LM 3086 SE smoke opacity meter uses an external optical reference path outside the flue, ensuring that all affected interfaces can be calibrated. The display automatically eliminates the impact of dust accumulation on interfaces on measurement accuracy.
