Product Introduction

Japan EKO Photoelectric Sensor MS-711Description:

The new generation grating spectroradiometer MS-711 is designed to provide the most accurate solar energy. With spectral data outdoors, the MS-711 is a unique meteorological sensor without any moving parts. At its core is temperature control, providing accurate irradiance measurement data in the spectrum ranging from 300nm to 1100nm (UV/Visible/NIR).

The MS-711's precise calibration is traceable to international standards. The robust optical design of the diffuser and input optics makes the MS concept superior to any fiber optic spectroradiometer, as it is not easily affected by mechanical vibration and handling.

The MS spectroradiometer is designed for permanent installation and is also ideal for reference during travel.

The MS-711 has a separate power supply unit and can be controlled via PC or data logger through RS232/422. PC software provides various functions for operation, data management, and visualization. Through an open command protocol with defined system control functions, software can be developed for cumulative measurements tailored to individual users. Measuring spectral irradiance is essential to understand the effects of non-uniform phenomena in the sun's energy distribution. As the solar spectrum varies due to air mass and composition in the atmosphere, the MS-711 reveals these details. Thermopile pyranometers and pyrheliometers are best suited for quantifying total DNI or irradiance (W/m²), while spectroradiometers provide detailed energy distribution (W/m²/nm), which is most important for PV or CPV cell research and performance analysis.
