1. Detailed Introduction of Grounded pH Electrodes and ORP Electrodes:
The DA series pH and ORP electrodes are designed to solve operational problems when stray voltages and ground loops are present in the solution. Systems with plastic tanks and piping are particularly susceptible to ground loop issues because plastic is non-conductive (cannot serve as ground). Dirty motors from pumps or mixers, or even conductivity electrodes installed near pH and ORP electrodes, can leak voltage into the solution being measured for pH and ORP. This voltage can damage the reference portion of the electrode, causing erroneous readings and calibration errors during use, leading to short service life. The DA series electrodes solve ground loop problems by grounding the solution rod input to an internal battery-powered (two-year battery life) differential amplifier. Another benefit of the amplifier is that it allows cable runs of over 1000 feet.
