Product Introduction
MS4985is a bipolar microstepping motor driver chip with built-in4bit DAC, supporting full-step,1/2,1/4,1/8, four steppingmodes; the chip hasrelativelylarge35V,±1.5Adriving capability.MS4985 It uses pulse-controlled stepping mode. Each pulse applied to theSTEPpinadvances the motor by one microstep; no phase sequence table is needed, norhigh-frequency control lines or complex program control interfaces. In addition,MS4985also features a rectifier with fixed current decay period, which can automatically select the current decay mode: slow decay and mixed decay. In mixeddecay mode, the initial decay period is fast decay, and the remaining time is slow decay. This decay mode helps reduce motor noise, increase stepping accuracy, and lower power consumption. The internal synchronous rectification circuit reduces power consumption. It has built-in over-temperatureprotection, overcurrent protection, under-voltage protection, and short-circuit protection circuits, and the chip doesnot require a special power-on sequence.
