Korea Hagisonic Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor Module - HG-P40 Series

Versatile transceiver model
Two transmission modes (free-running / external trigger)

Product Model: HG-P40 Series

Product Introduction

Korean Hagisonic Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor Module HG-P40 Series Description:

• Uses only a single transceiver sensor unit to send and receive signals.

• Convenient for distance measurement and object detection.

• Provides two transmission modes for convenience:

• Free-running: When connected to power, the sensor itself sends trigger signals and burst signals - for basic applications

• External trigger: External system (controller or processor circuit) controls the trigger signal – for advanced applications (distance measurement)distance measurement)

• Two input power sources – low voltage (5V) for processor circuits, high voltage (12V) for controllers.

• Four different output signals (simultaneously).

• Amplifies the actually received ultrasonic waves in real time (for sound pressure measurement)

• Real-time TTL level rectangular wave (square wave) of the detection signal (for robotics)

• Pulse width signal proportional to the distance from the sensor to the nearest obstacle (for robotics and distance measurement)

• Proximity output signal (10mA current) within the preset range (0.5~4.5m) (industrial use)

• The preset range can be adjusted between 0.5 ~ 4.5 m (factory can preset the distance under bulk orders)

• High-performance ASIC chip for stable transmission and high-sensitivity signal reception (can amplify up to approximately 4,000 times)

Korean Hagisonic Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor Module HG-P40 Series Features:

Versatile transceiver model

Two transmission modes (free-running / external trigger)

① Power (low voltage: 5V / high voltage: 6~16V)

② 4 different output signals (simultaneously):

- Real-time reception and amplification of ultrasonic waves

- Real-time TTL square wave signal

- Distance pulse width signal

- Detects objects within the preset distance (proximity)

③ High-performance ASIC chip

Korean Hagisonic Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor Module HG-P40 Series Specifications:

Korean Hagisonic Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor Module HG-P40 Series Part Description:

① Ultrasonic sensor unit: Ø16 open-type sensor with conventional directivity (approximately 65~75˚).

② Power selection PAD (J2): Low voltage (5V) – requires soldering, high voltage (6~16V) – no soldering required (in this case, recommended voltage is above 6.5V).

③ Proximity detection LED: When an object enters the preset range, the red light turns on and generates a 10mA output signal.

④ Output terminal: Generates three different outputs simultaneously. (See P2 and P6)

⑤ Receiver sensitivity adjustment VR: The gain value of the preamplifier is adjusted within the range of 0 ~ 4,000x. (Factory default option: 2,000X)

⑥ ASIC chip: Versatile 48-pin chip (Hagisonic product)

⑦ Distance range adjustment VR: Range is 0.5 ~ 4.5m

⑧ Ultrasonic frequency adjustment: Factory adjusts the device to optimal performance (never adjust this!)

⑨ Input terminal: Power, external trigger input, and proximity output signal (10mA current) terminals (see P2 and P6)

Transmission mode selection PAD (J1):

- Free-running mode: requires soldering; generates approximately 10 ~ 15 pulses per second (factory option: soldered)

- External trigger mode: no soldering; requires external TTL level pulse transmission. (Can reach 1~100 per second, but the recommended value is 10~30 per second) (Recommended pulse width: 0.5~1mS)
