•ATmega 8 MCU
• Measures distance to obstacles and sends data via UART communication.
• Resolution within 5mm.
• Two transmission modes selectable, suitable for various applications.
− Free-running mode: When powered, the sensor itself sends trigger and burst signals (for basic applications)
− External trigger mode: External system (controller or processor circuit) controls trigger signal – for advanced applications
• Two input power supplies – low voltage (5V) for processor circuits; high voltage (12V) for controllers.

− Free-running / UART trigger / external trigger settings
− Setting whether to use ring buffer
− UART communication baud rate setting
− Free-running trigger interval
• Output signals
− Outputs distance data via UART (ASCII, mm)

• Communication from sensor to PC uses 'interface board' (RS232, power regulator)
