Product Introduction
The infrared particulate matter sensor uses the light scattering principle to detect the concentration of particulate matter in the air (particle size between 1 and 10 μm). It has a built-in infrared light-emitting diode and photoelectric sensor. When the light emitted by the light-emitting diode passes through particulate matter, it is scattered, and the photoelectric sensor can calculate the concentration of particulate matter in the air by detecting the intensity of the scattered light. The sensor supports I²C/UART and PWM interface output measurement values.
Main Application Areas
- Air Quality Monitoring — Continuous monitoring of PM2.5 and PM10 levels in indoor and outdoor environments.
- HVAC Systems — Integration into HVAC systems for filter efficiency monitoring and indoor air quality control.
- Industrial Hygiene — Detection of particulate matter in industrial workplaces to ensure worker safety.
- Smart Home Devices — Embedded in air purifiers and smart thermostats for real-time particulate monitoring.
- Environmental Research — Used in environmental studies for particulate matter data collection and analysis.
