Product Model: TGS821

Product Introduction

1. Description of Semiconductor Hydrogen Sensor TGS821:

The sensing element of Figaro sensors is composed of tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor, which has low conductivity in clean air. When the target gas is present in the air, the higher the gas concentration, the higher the sensor's conductivity. Using a simple circuit, the change in conductivity can be converted into a signal output corresponding to the gas concentration.

Hydrogen SensorsTGS821 has extremely high sensitivity and selectivity to hydrogen, capable of detecting hydrogen concentrations as low as 50ppm, and can be widely used in various industrial applications.

4. Sensitivity Characteristics of Semiconductor Hydrogen Sensor TGS821:

The figure below shows typical sensitivity characteristic curves, measured under our company's standard test conditions (see back).
The vertical axis represents the sensor resistance ratio Rs/Ro, where Rs and Ro are defined as follows:
Rs = Sensor resistance in various gas concentrations
Ro = Sensor resistance in 100ppm hydrogen

5. Temperature and Humidity Characteristics of Semiconductor Hydrogen Sensor TGS821:

The figure below shows representative characteristic curves affected by temperature and humidity.
The vertical axis represents the sensor resistance ratio Rs/Ro, where Rs and Ro are defined as follows:
Rs = Sensor resistance in 100ppm hydrogen under various temperatures and humidities
Ro = Sensor resistance in 100ppm hydrogen at 20°C, 65% R.H.
