The iAQ-core is a compact, highly sensitive sensor product for air quality detection. It uses micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) technology.It can detect multiple gases and directly outputs digital VOC and CO2 concentration values.
It can detect alcohols, aldehydes, aliphatic hydrocarbons, organic amines, aromatic hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide (CO), methane (CH4), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ketones, organic acids, and other basic substances.

A platinum heater and interdigital electrode structure are placed on a silicon nitride membrane about one micron thick. By heating, the proportion of VOC in the surrounding air is analyzed and converted to CO2 PPM / TVOC PPB output.
