Product Introduction

I.PrimePell Infrared Gas Sensor Replacing Catalytic Combustion Product Description:
The PrimePell sensor uses NDIR technology to detect hydrocarbon gas concentration. Inside the sensor, there is an infrared light source, a dual-element infrared detector, and a unique optical waveguide that allows gas to diffuse in. The ARM7 core microprocessor integrated circuit provides an output voltage independent of power supply polarity. The sensor can be set to linear voltage output, full scale 0.4V-2.0V referenced to the negative supply, or set to catalytic combustion format output, typically with zero at mid-voltage, and 100mV relative to the detection pin at full scale. Additionally, output values and internal configuration can be read via serial connection. For PrimePell series 3, communication connection points are pads; for series 5, they are pins. The internal integrated circuit can perform functions such as driving optical components, extracting detection signals, converting signal strength to concentration, temperature compensation, and quantizing output values. In catalytic combustion configuration, PrimePell can completely replace catalytic combustion sensors without circuit changes, provided power supply requirements are met. When Prime 2 is used in constant current catalytic combustion circuits, external components must meet power requirements. PrimePell currently does not have explosion-proof certification, so if used in hazardous areas, an explosion-proof sealed housing must be added.
