Canada FISO Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor - FOT-L-BA

FOT-L-SD and FOT-L-BA are a type of fiber optic temperature sensor highly suitable for measuring temperature in extreme environments, including low temperatures, nuclear environments, microwaves, and high-intensity RF.

Model: FOT-L-BA

Product Introduction

Fiber Optic Temperature SensorFOT-L-BA Description

FOT-L-SD and FOT-L-BA are a type of fiber optic temperature sensor highly suitable for measuring temperature in extreme environments, including low temperatures, nuclear environments, microwaves, and high-intensity RF. The FOT-L combines all the excellent characteristics you expect from an ideal sensor body. Therefore, even under extreme temperatures and adverse environments, these sensors can provide high-precision and reliable temperature measurements.

The main features of both FOT-L temperature sensors are complete immunity to EMI and RFI, as well as their small size, built-in safety for hazardous environments, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high accuracy.

Based on fiber optic technology, the sensors are inherently immune to EMI and RFI. Optical sensors are electronically inactive, so they neither emit nor are affected by any type of electromagnetic radiation, whether it is microwave, RF, or NMR.

Another important advantage of optical fibers is that they can be used to produce various small components, while the physical properties of these component materials are not compromised. On the other hand, the size of the optical fiber has been optimized to provide the smallest possible optical path. Thanks to this advantage, the tip diameter of the fiber optic sensor can be as small as 0.8 mm.

FISO's fiber optic temperature sensors provide accurate, stable, and repeatable temperature measurements. These measurements are based on changes in reflected light - compared to emitted light - caused by the thermal expansion of the highly stable glass inside the sensor.

The FOT-L-SD is encapsulated in PTFE and has a temperature measurement range of -40°C to 300°C (-40°F to 572°F).

The FOT-L-BA is designed with a smaller diameter, which allows for a relatively faster response time. Its maximum temperature measurement is 250°C.

All temperature sensors produced by our company must be used with FISO's corresponding signal conditioners.

The fiber optic lead cable can be several meters long without affecting the quality and accuracy of the sensor measurements.
