1. Description of temperature and humidity sensor HTU20P(F)

This combined temperature and humidity sensor HTU20P(F) sets a benchmark in size and intelligence for humidity sensors: it adopts a reflow-solderable DFN package with dimensions of only 3 x 3 x 0.9mm; it provides a calibrated, linear analog PWM output signal. As a plug-and-play combined humidity and temperature sensor, the HTU20P(F) is an ideal choice for OEM applications requiring reliable and accurate measurement. The HTU20P(F) features low power consumption, high cost-effectiveness, and small size, making it suitable for price-sensitive and space-constrained high-volume OEM applications. The base frequency of the PWM signal is 120Hz, and the data signal is provided via the SDA line. By changing the high/low level of SCL, the humidity or temperature signal output can be selected. The sensor measures twice per second, and the PWM signal can be converted to an analog proportional output through a low-pass filter. An optional white PTFE filter/membrane can be directly attached to the sensor housing, protecting the HTU20P from dust and moisture and shielding the sensor from particulate contamination. Through continuous improvement and miniaturization, not only has the cost-effectiveness of the HTU20P(F) been enhanced, but device users also benefit from advanced energy-saving operating modes. The HTU20 series also includes the HTU20D(F) with digital I²C output and the HTU20S(F) with SDM interface.
