I. Description of Oxygen Sensor (O2 Sensor) KGZ-10 Series
Oxygen Sensor(O2 Sensor)The KGZ-10 series is a high-precision oxygen sensor suitable for a variety of applications. This product series was initially used in boilers, and later versions were developed for oxygen monitoring in commercial and military aircraft, automotive exhaust testing, and medical testing equipment. It uses two ZrO2 discs with a small hermetically sealed chamber between them. The first disc functions as a reversible oxygen pump, used to alternately fill and evacuate the sealed chamber. The second disc measures the partial pressure difference ratio and generates a corresponding sensing voltage. A heating element produces the required temperature of 700°C for the ZrO2 to act as an O2 pump. The time taken by the pump to bring the chamber to a specified pressure can be used to measure the oxygen partial pressure of the environment.
The sensor must be operated with an electronic measurement circuit that controls sensor operation and signal processing. This circuit can be integrated into the customer's own electronics or purchased as a separate electronic unit from Honeywell.
