1. Swiss Sensirion Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor SHT15 Product Description:
The SHT15 is a high-end digital temperature and humidity sensor suitable for reflow soldering. Like all other SHTxx series products, the SHT15 is mass-produced, fully calibrated, and provides digital output.
The SHT1x digital humidity sensors are reflow-solderable sensors. The SHT1x series includes the low-cost version SHT10, the standard version SHT11, and the high-end version SHT15. Like other Sensirion humidity sensors from the SHTxx humidity sensor family, they are fully calibrated and provide digital output.
The SHT1x humidity sensor series (including SHT10, SHT11, and SHT15) is Sensirion's family of surface-mount sensors. It integrates the sensor element and signal processing circuitry in a minimal footprint, providing fully calibrated digital output. A unique capacitive sensor element is used to measure relative humidity, while temperature is measured by a bandgap sensor. Its CMOSens® technology ensures excellent reliability and long-term stability. The humidity sensor is seamlessly coupled to a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter and serial interface circuit, providing good signal quality, fast response time, and immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMC).
Each SHT1x humidity sensor is individually calibrated in a precision humidity chamber. The calibration coefficients are programmed into the chip's OTP memory. These coefficients are used for internal calibration of the sensor's signal. The two-wire serial interface and built-in voltage regulation allow for easy system integration. The SHT1x is available in a surface-mount LCC (leadless chip carrier) package suitable for standard reflow soldering. The same sensor is also available in a pin-type package (SHT7x).
