Product Introduction
1. UV PhotodetectorSiC PhotodiodeTOCON_ABC1 Product Description:
Silicon carbide-based broadband UV photodetector with integrated amplifier
TOCON is a 5V-powered UV photodetector with an integrated amplifier that converts UV radiation into a 0-5V voltage output. The output voltage pin of TOCON can be directly connected to a controller, voltmeter, or other data analysis devices with voltage input. Highly modern electronic components and a sealed metal housing with a UV glass window eliminate noise or electromagnetic interference caused by parasitic resistance paths within the package. For various industrial UV sensing applications, TOCON is an excellent solution, from flame detection at pW/cm2 levels to UV curing lamp control at W/cm2 levels. Ten different TOCONs cover this 13-order-of-magnitude range with varying sensitivities. TOCONs are manufactured as broadband UV sensors or with filters for selective measurement.
2. Internal Silicon Carbide (SiC) Detector Chip:2
Precision electronics make TOCON a reliable component in ambient and very low or high UV radiation. However, the SiC detector chip produced internally by sglux makes TOCON a permanent quasi-sensor, characterized by strong radiation resistance as reported by PTB.
