About Silicon Carbide (SiC) Material:

SiC has extremely special advantages: it can withstand high-intensity radiation, is almost insensitive to visible light, has low dark current, and fast response speed. These characteristics make SiC an excellent material for suppressing visible light in semiconductor UV detectors. SiC detectors can operate long-term at temperatures up to 170°C, have a low temperature coefficient (<0.1%/K), and low noise, enabling effective detection of very low radiation intensities (with appropriate amplifiers).
