Product Introduction

Dutch Xensor Thermal Conductivity Gas Sensor XEN-3880-P2RW Description:

The XEN-3880-PRW thermal conductivity meter measures the thermal conductivity of the surrounding gas. The principle is that different gases have different thermal conductivities, which can be used to measure gas concentration in binary or quasi-binary mixtures where the component gases have different thermal conductivities. It can also be used to measure pressure in vacuum systems.
The sensor chip consists of a silicon frame and a synthetic membrane, with a heater in the center. Its temperature is measured by a thermopile, and the thermal conductivity between the chip and the environment is measured between the membrane and the center.
On the membrane and top, there is a silicon cap (roof) with a filter, welded cap (W) to suppress flow sensitivity.
