Product Introduction
I. Prime3Infrared CO2 SensorProduct Description and Operation
The Prime3 high-resolution infrared CO2 sensor has a full-scale output of 0.4V-2.0V referenced to the negative power supply, or can be set to catalytic combustion format output, typically with zero at mid-voltage and 100mV at full-scale relative to the detection pin. It features a metal structure, insulated housing, and small size.
The Prime3 sensor uses NDIR technology to detect CO2 gas concentration. Inside the sensor, there is an infrared light source, a dual-element infrared detector, a unique optical waveguide for gas diffusion, and an ARM7 core microprocessor. The output voltage is independent of power supply polarity.
The Prime3 high-resolution infrared CO2 sensor can be set to linear voltage output with a full-scale of 0.4V-2.0V referenced to the negative power supply, or set to catalytic combustion format output, typically with zero at mid-voltage and 100mV at full-scale relative to the detection pin. Additionally, the output value and internal configuration can be accessed via serial connection. The communication connection points are pads on the 3-pin Prime3 and pins on the 5-pin Prime3. The internal integrated circuit can perform functions such as driving optical components, extracting detection signals, converting signal strength to concentration, temperature compensation, and quantizing output values. In catalytic combustion configuration, the Prime3 can fully replace catalytic combustion sensors without circuit changes, provided power supply requirements are met. When the Prime3 is used in constant-current catalytic combustion circuits, external components must meet power requirements. The Prime3 is not currently explosion-proof certified, so if used in hazardous areas, an explosion-proof sealed housing must be added.
