Hot-wire volatile organic compound sensor (VOC sensor) MR516 product description
-
The MR516 gas sensing element operates on the principle that gas adsorption on the surface of a metal oxide semiconductor causes changes in thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, with gas concentration determined by the resistance change of a platinum coil. The MR516 consists of a detection element and a compensation element paired to form two arms of a bridge circuit. When exposed to organic vapors, the resistance of the detection element decreases, causing a change in the bridge output voltage. This voltage change increases proportionally with gas concentration, while the compensation element provides reference and temperature compensation.
