Product Introduction
MS-Z2 Humidity SensorProduct Description
The MS-Z2 humidity sensor is made of polymer moisture-sensitive material. As humidity increases, the polymer swells, internal free volume increases, and charge carriers increase. Meanwhile, the activation energy of counterions in the polymer polyelectrolyte decreases, mobility increases, and the material's impedance decreases. Conversely, when ambient humidity decreases, water molecules are released from the ionic polymer, increasing the material's resistance. By measuring the change in impedance, the relative humidity of the environment can be monitored.
