Product Introduction
Dutch Xensor Thermal Conductivity Gas Sensor XEN-3880-RW-3 Description:
The XEN-3880-RW-3 thermal conductivity meter measures the thermal conductivity of the surrounding gas. The principle is that different gases have different thermal conductivities, which can be used to measure gas concentration in binary or quasi-binary mixtures where the component gases have different thermal conductivities. It can also be used to measure pressure in vacuum systems.
The sensor chip consists of a silicon frame and a synthetic membrane, with a heater in the middle. A thermopile measures its temperature and the thermal conductivity between the chip and the environment, and the center of the membrane. On top of the membrane, there is a silicon cap (roof) with a filter welded cap (W) to suppress flow sensitivity.
