Product Introduction

1. Description of Combustible Gas Sensor TGS816:

The sensing element of Figaro sensors is composed of a tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor, which has low conductivity in clean air. When the target gas is present in the air, the higher the gas concentration, the higher the sensor's conductivity. Using a simple circuit, the change in conductivity can be converted into a signal output corresponding to the gas concentration.
Combustible Gas SensorsTGS816It not only detects a wide range of combustible gases but also features a ceramic base that can withstand high temperatures up to 200°C. It has high sensitivity to methane, propane, and butane, making it the ideal sensor for monitoring LNG and LPG. Due to its sensitivity to multiple gases, it can be widely used in various fields, making it an excellent cost-effective sensor. 4. Sensitivity Characteristics of Combustible Gas Sensor TGS816:

The figure below shows representative sensitivity characteristic curves measured under standard test conditions (see back).
The vertical axis represents the sensor resistance ratio Rs/Ro, where Rs and Ro are defined as follows:
Rs = Sensor resistance in various gas concentrations
Ro = Sensor resistance in 1000 ppm methane

5. Temperature and Humidity Characteristics of Combustible Gas Sensor TGS816:

The figure below shows representative characteristic curves affected by temperature and humidity.
The vertical axis represents the sensor resistance ratio Rs/Ro, where Rs and Ro are defined as follows:
Rs = Sensor resistance in 1000 ppm methane at various temperatures and humidities
Ro = Sensor resistance in 1000 ppm methane at 20°C, 65% R.H.
