Product Introduction

SKA IFE-3 series (new)
Impedance spectroscopy sensor

SKA IFE-3The impedance spectroscopy sensor is an online oil monitoring sensor based on the principle of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), leading by 3 orders of magnitude in data monitoring accuracy. Its multi-frequency and multi-characteristic advantages can reflect various oil conditions such as aging and contamination of equipment. It is a major breakthrough by Smart Torch in the field of basic scientific research on underlying sensors over the past decade, effectively solving problems such as sudden moisture changes, oil contamination, and critical failure due to lubricating oil aging in online lubricant monitoring, enabling more comprehensive, intuitive, and stable monitoring of oil quality. Moreover, the unique EIS oil condition monitoring technology can achieve real-time monitoring, analysis, and early warning of any wear or contamination in oil, with real-time oil condition analysis accuracy as low as 0.001%, helping users scientifically gain insight into the entire lifecycle of equipment.

Characterize multiple indicators of the tested oil

  • Rapid characterization of oil aging

  • Millisecond-level response time

  • Timely warning of equipment safety lubrication faults

Changes in bulk impedance, interfacial impedance, and high-frequency impedance of oil

Through EIS technology, parameters such as bulk impedance, interfacial impedance, and high-frequency impedance of oil can be measured. The changing trends of these parameters can reflect the state of the oil, the state of additives, and the presence of contaminants.

Main Application Areas

  • Industrial Hydraulic Systems — Monitors oil oxidation, water contamination, and wear particles in real time to prevent hydraulic system failures.
  • Marine Engines — Detects diesel dilution, soot, and glycol ingress in marine engine oils to ensure reliable operation and extend engine life.
  • Power Generation Turbines — Tracks oil quality and temperature in turbine lubrication systems to avoid unplanned downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Heavy-Duty Vehicles — Provides on-board oil condition monitoring for trucks and buses, enabling predictive maintenance and reducing oil waste.
  • Wind Turbine Gearboxes — Monitors oil degradation and contamination in remote wind turbine gearboxes to optimize maintenance schedules.
